To say that I am a little obsessed with design and "home improvement" might be putting the situation mildly.  I have many times in my life come across creative activities which I really enjoy.  From music, to art, to sewing, to knitting, the list goes on.  But few things have really captured me like designing rooms and working with furniture and color and art to make a space feel like home.  I don't know if it's the scale of the project that makes it satisfying, or the fact that I get to enjoy the fruits of my labor everyday, or just the variety of skills and tasks involved in putting all the pieces together, but to me it is the best form of work, and the most rewarding.

So, on that note, I have just bought my first house.  And I am very, VERY excited about making it my own.  I plan to post the main points of the projects I undertake here.  This is a picture of the house in question.  I will be moving in on March 12th, 8 days from today.  And then the fun will begin.
